I’m addicted to coffee and I’m not afraid to admit it. What does pain me though, on this daily quest for caffeine, is the NASA-like skills it requires to operate some coffee machines. I have one at home and I find myself not using it very much, going for the instant coffee instead because it’s just so much easier to navigate.
The final whole house reveal went down on House Rules last night and some of the spaces were truly magnificent. Not all of them were stunners, but on the whole I was pretty impressed. The teams transformed Karina and Brian's rundown WA abode into a sophisticated but casual dream home.
I see so many amazing kids room ideas online and in magazines that I’m pretty much moments away from hunting for a surrogate - I’m that eager to decorate a nursery!
One of the places I witness many OMG decor moments is on the Instagram feed of Petite Vintage Interiors; the brainchild of interior designer Belinda Kurtz. Take one look at her website and you’re sure to consider another pregnancy (or your first), because her work is that breathtaking.
I wish I were super creative. Don't get me wrong, I'm not being down on myself; I can write, I get my craft and DIY on sometimes, and I can certainly style a room. But then there's the sort of super creativity that people like Rachel Kennedy have that just makes you think... woah, this gal is truly something.
The fruity homewares and stationery craze refuses to go away - which is probably a good thing considering I adore the tropical colour story this aesthetic brings to a space. Although I did declare a short while ago that ceramic pineapples are officially over, I never threw all fruits under the bus - and I think they're divine in many respects.
Now I don't want to say that House Rules has been disappointing, because some of the spaces revealed so far this season have been truly beautiful. But, I've yet to see a reveal where I thought so many of the rooms were exceptional. Until now. Not perfect, of course, but pretty sublime and really easy to make a few tweaks to in order to correct the shortfalls.
