I've seen a bit of a war raging lately and I thought it was time to write about it on the blog.If you're a long-time reader, you know that I don't tend to shy away from open and honest conversations on here (even if it does get me into hot water sometimes), and this time around it's no different.
I love reading about trends. I love it when forecasters predict what's coming up, I love seeing them hit stores and I love seeing how people interpret them in their homes. It's the latter category that often intrigues me most. It's all very good and well for a forecaster to tell us that a Nordic theme is on the way, for example, but it doesn't always mean we want to adopt the look.
In case you didn't know, I've been working with the team at Metricon for almost a year now; filming decorating videos for their Youtube channel and hosting their fun and informative Build Smart Series of events. These events are designed to get you clued up and comfortable with buying a new home, completing a knock down new build and/or investing in a Dual Occupancy property.
We tend to spend a lot more time thinking about our interiors than we do our outdoor areas. And fair call; we spend far longer on the sofa than we do the hammock. But now that warmer weather is approaching (praise the lord) it's wise to think about your garden or courtyard and how to give it the most trending look for the year ahead. That trend, dear Creatives, is paving - grey to be precise. And boy can it transform your space!
I won't lie; the moment I discovered that another series of The Block was landing just months after the last one wrapped, I didn't think I could take anymore. This latest edition makes it three seasons of The Block in one year, which does seem excessive even for diehard fans of the show.
