Decor Destination: Industrial Decor at Marly Bar, Newtown
The recent revamp of Marly Bar in Newtown has made it the suburb’s new go-to destination. While the frontage of the bar seems to have retained its traditional look and feel, the side and back of the bar has been transformed into a delightful oasis that I had to start snapping the moment I walked in. Shall we take a little tour of this wondrous watering hole? I think we shall!
Giving a generous nod to a romantic garden party aesthetic indoors and giving off a definite rustic vibe in its beer garden, chilling out in this decor destination is a visual treat. The vodka, lime and soda certainly helped my post-house-move relaxation too, but that’s a different story altogether!
As you can see above, they’ve opted to paint their outdoor space in mint, which gives it a very fresh and summery feel. I’ve previously been a bit adverse to mint, but seeing it utilised in an industrial setting certainly brings it to life.
Check out the snaps in this post and let me know what you think of the decor of the new and improved Marly Bar in the comments below. I’d love to know if this is your kind of aesthetic.

I’ve been there recently and I didn’t notice the lavender plant boxes – so cute!

Yeah, they’re inside just near the beer garden doors. Makes the place feel so charming and rustic!

On you are more than welcome, Danusia! The decor there was too divine not to snap and share. Hope you get to see it for yourself at some point.
