To say that my time in Dubai was an experience would be a gross understatement. It was a grand adventure with a tonne of fabulous memories. A true tourist destination with a million things to do, it’s definitely something to pop on your bucket list.
Everyone in the Bloggerati family who went along each had their own best bits, but here are some of mine, in no particular order.
The View from my Hotel
Seriously, the view from my hotel room was so sickeningly amazing I could barely cope. After a 14-hour flight and a long journey to the hotel, walking out onto my balcony and taking in this view was nothing short of magical and totally made the trek worth it.
I saw where everyone else was staying and I can assure you that I got the best seat in the house.

The Desert Adventure
Going to Platinum Heritage in the Dubai desert, seeing the sun set on one side and the moon rise on the other was a moment I shall never forget. To top if all off, we got to ride a camel (thank God it didn’t spit on me) and we experienced a traditional Middle Eastern feast with all the trimmings. I think most of us thought this was the best part of the trip and it definitely is one you have to do; it wouldn’t be a Dubai experience without it.

Ski Dubai
So Dubai is pretty hot, there’s no denying it. It was such a welcome moment to go to Ski Dubai and enjoy ourselves in the freezing cold. Winter is my kind of season, so I was well and truly reveling in the snow and had a ball taking part in some of the attractions (the tube ride was amazingly fun). There’s heaps of activities here for kids, too, so it’s a real family affair if you have little ones.
The Dubai Fountain
So right outside my hotel, The Palace Downtown Dubai, there’s a water show that operates every night. It’s called The Dubai Fountain, and on one of the last nights in Dubai, we ate right on the water and took in the amazing show.
They play a mix of music to go with it, too; everything from traditional tunes to Mariah, Whitney, Michael Jackson and Enrique (right up my alley). Another total must-see if you’re there!
