The New Limited-Edition Art set to Take the Country by Storm
There’s nothing better than discovering an artist whose work you just know is going to make major waves across the country. That’s what’s in store in today’s post, Creatives, as you get to know the very talented Carley Brady.
A graphic designer and alumni of The Design Centre Enmore, with over a decade of experience under her belt, Carley has spent the last few years refining and developing her illustrative style. The result is the unique and layered artworks you see in this post.
Inspired by vintage posters and similar aesthetics, Carley tells me that her limited edition work – which includes art for kids as well as adults – is more than meets the eye.
“The artworks look simple and clean at first glance, but usually upon closer inspection there is a lot more going on,” she tells me.
When Carley first started working on her range, pieces were initially created for friends and family. A Central Coast mother of three kids (all under 8 years old), it goes without saying that her hubby and little ones are her biggest fans.
“My children have definitely inspired some of the designs, particularly the ones with animals in them,” she explains. “I have done them all an artwork each and they have been hanging in their rooms since they were newborns”.

What I love about these artworks is that there’s a blend of new and old. There are nods to retro influences but each one has a contemporary feel to it. They’re also, as Carley pointed out above, rather complex. They strike a perfect balance visually; simple at first glance but full of depth the longer you gaze at them.
“I wanted to create artworks that appealed to me and illustrate emotions… not only what I love, but what interests that challenge me more broadly,” Carley explains.
All of the prints are limited edition, with no more than 25 to 50 in each run. It’s another bonus to owning a piece of Carley’s work; not everyone will be lucky enough to secure one.
With her youngest little one off the school this year, Carley is now getting the opportunity to go full steam ahead with her creative business.
“I am excited about having more time to fulfil my creative outlet through my design, hopefully enabling more people to enjoy my work”.
