Custom Prints, cushions and Calendars from Tomfo
For Sarah Preston, the founder of Tomfo (Tomorrow’s Family Organiser), keeping her home running smoothly has become second nature. “We always say put it on the calendar; if it’s not on the calendar, it’s not on,” she says. The local creative not only produces a family organiser you can use to keep your life in order (in dire need right here!), but she’s producing some other creative gems I’m going gaga over too.
A former artists and graphic designer by trade, Sarah started the Tomfo blog after selling her family organiser offline for over ten years.
“I thought it was time to give it a dedicated home,” she tells me. “Hopefully one day it will be an online scrapbook for my little guy to see what mum and dad did with him as he grew up!”
The local mum has also begun producing personalised map art and cushions, that can be tailored to celebrate important locations in your life as well as numerals that represent street numbers, birthdays, anniversary dates and more.
“Each number has a special meaning,” Sarah says of the artworks and how they started out. “I thought perhaps others might like to add a little bit of their lives in their houses, or give a unique gift to someone, so that is why they are now in the shop”.
Sarah is also a keen DIYer (welcome to my world!), with a dedicated section on her blog that showcases some of her great DIY projects.
“I think children’s art is so pure and beautiful, not forced or contrived,” she says. “It’s a beautiful way to make it become part of your home and be used and showcased”.
So what’s her best advice to keep on top of the chaos at home?
“I am a list girl. I write everything down, because I have so many things going round in my head. If it’s on the list it has to get done”.
Organising your cupboards is also key, she tells me.
“Once I actually do it and everything has a home, life gets so much more easier. If everything has a home, then you waste less time looking around for it and you can get out and enjoy more of the good stuff”.

The Live with Love Story.
The name Tomfo is a tribute to Sarah’s dear cousin Tom, who passed away last year. “He was one of my favourites,” she tells me. “He inspired many by his courage and the way he lived with love.
That has become my mission; to live with love and see all the good things and enjoy and appreciate every moment with family and friends.
Hopefully my blog inspires people to get creative and spend more time with the people they love the most, then living with love will have inspired a whole spiderweb of people to enjoy every moment!”
