Father’s Day Gift Idea plus win a $100 Officeworks Voucher

Is it just me or are fathers so much harder to buy for than mums? I dont see why a pack of bath bombs and fluffy pink slippers cant be given to Dads, too. OK, so Ive never actually purchased that for my father, but I do tend to gravitater toward the same standard gifts every year. This year will be different of course, thanks to the gang at Officeworks.

(This post is brought to you by Officeworks)

Father's Day Gift

This Fathers Day is going to be void of another bottle of booze (sorry Dad, but your bar is already pretty stocked) in exchange for some more heartfelt and personalised pressies.

The Kodak Kiosk Service is the brains behind this operation and it allows you to put photos and other designs across a range of products; iPhone cases, mugs, photo frames, canvases and more. Youll see in this post that I went for some coasters, playing card and stubby holders, but its an easy each-to-their-own scenario and theres a lot of options to choose from.

Father's Day1

If youd prefer some face time with the Officeworks team members, youre able to head in-store to use the Kodak Kiosk to place your order. The even better part is that you can access and print images wirelessly from your phone using the KodakConnect app, so you dont have to take in a memory card if you dont have one (hit the App Store on your phone for more on this).

Father's Day

I decided to go futuristic and do it online, which allows you to upload and crop your images with a few simple clicks to put them on your products of choice. Thats all you need to do, actually; the products are then sent to you within seven business days to give to Dad!

See below for a nifty video on how to create the perfect gift for your Father:

  • I think it would be great fun to do a silly photo on some playing cards and then I’d probably do a nice canvas print

  • To develop all the photos of Dad doing embarassing things and place them on everyday accessories. Unfortunately, all the cups in the world wouldn’t be enough for such a purpose.

I’ve been scanning some old photos. I’d love to surprise Dad with a few bits and pieces. He is really hard to buy for and his birthday is the week after Father’s Day so that’s an extra present I need to buy!

I would print up a keyring with a photo of each kid holding a large sign that says “Dad, don’t forget to pick me up from gymnastics”. Or riding/athletics/school. Depending on which kid!

  • While I’d love to use it for my Dad, he’s already given us a list of things to choose from for his upcoming (ie a year away) grey nomad trip as a reference for F-Day, B-Day and Xmas! I think I’d use it to make a shrine for my dearly departed Labradors and probably also make some personalised stubby coolers for our regular social crew with the worst/funniest pic of each other I can find on them!

I’d love to buy a canvas for my husband. I recently took a photo of him holding hands with our three young daughters as they walked along the very beach where my husband and I met 15 years ago! They have their backs towards me and were unaware I took it, but it’s such a great natural shot that I really love. I would love to surprise him with it on Father’s Day.

  • Photos of special moments of all the thirty years that we have spent together. Old, boring and nothing exciting – but memories that are simply invaluable.

I would love to make coasters from the amazing photos from our Wedding.

  • I would get all of our family members to take photos for me with fun messages in them, and then get them printed onto stubby holders. He brews his own beers & lives interstate, so this would be a fun way to remind him of us ♥
Actually – this would be a great present even if I don’t win. I didn’t realise you could do so much at Officeworks, and love the idea of the Kodak App, so handy! Great post.

My children would love to give their dad a mug with a picture of them on one side and me and their dad on the other side. This is because when we first met I got my now hubby a mug with me on one side and his dog and surfboard on the other side. Kind of an updated mug with the loves of his life .

    • sharyn w

oops forgot to add the new updated mug would still have to have the surfboard on it as well also 🙂

  • sapna

I would love to print pictures of my dad in which he is with me and then send them to him – now that i am in australia and he is back home – he will really love his father’s day gift from me because pictures remind us of special father daughter moments ….

  • jody buhagiar

A stubby holder would be fantastic. He could remember all of us when hes having a beer!

  • Skye

My Dad has become such a lifeline to me as I’ve gotten older and is the most generous grandfather in regards to always offering his time to help me with my two little ones. This Father’s Day I would like to use the Kodak kiosk to create a heartfelt tribute to my “Hero” with a photo-album with special photographs from his time as a boy all the way through to becoming a much loved Pop. He lost his own father at a young age so this sentimental gift would really mean the world to him.

I’d make use of the Kodak Kiosk at Officeworks by getting Dad a ‘6×8 Colour Photoblock White Gloss’ with a recent picture of my brothers and I to hang in his office (the ones in his office ATM are from when we were 6 or 7 so well overdue for an update!). I’d also make him a set of ‘Playing Cards’ as he loves a good game of cards and having family memories on them would make them even more fun! And how could I go past a ‘Stubby Cooler Velcro’ for Dad?! So many wonderful options to make use of at the Kodak Kiosk!

  • Tracey Maruszak

I would give this prize to my kids to have free reign on what they want for their father seeing he doesn’t live with us. They can plaster his home with pictures of their faces for whenever they’re not here.

  • I would definitely put together a ‘care package’ for my inlaws in England with photos of their grandson on pretty much everything imaginable!
