Loving: Eco-Friendly Steel Art for Indoors or Out

It’s safe to say I’m going bananas over copper in interior design at the moment. I featured it recently as the must-have metal to give your space a feminine touch, but this material is a winner in just about every room. The steel art pieces featured in today’s post are by Lisa Sarah Designs – and come in gold, bronze and silver too – so you can deck out your pad in the colour that most takes your fancy!

Lisa Turley is the New Zealand designer behind the brand and recently debuted her Whimsy collection of steel art at the NZ Home and Gift Fair. With 30 new pieces in the range – all made from 100% recyclable Kiwi steel – there’s a message for everyone. I’m most smitten with the ‘XO’ copper artwork you see above because it’s beautiful in its simplicity, but there are many designs on Lisa’s website and the good news is that she ships to Australia (or there are some stockists here that sell her designs – click here to check them out)

Metallics are very on-trend in interiors right now, which is perhaps why these deigns are selling so well. An industrial scheme lends itself to this sort of art without even trying, but a Scandi aesthetic also bodes well for metallic inclusions, especially gorgeous copper tones. In my home, which is a mixture of industrial and retro with graphic pattern and a touch of whimsy, I’d love to feature one of these on the wall just inside the door of my home, so it stood on its own as a fab piece of art.
