In years gone by – or at least in the years I was hunting for nice coasters (probably before online stores really existed), you’d be hard-pressed to find nice options in bricks-and-mortar shops.
In fact, some homewares stores didn’t even have coasters. And the ones that did were usually a bit cringe-worthy (coasters with names on them… I don’t think I need to go into it).
Thankfully, we’re now spoilt for choice when it comes to finding coasters in just about every material imaginable; marble coasters, concrete, wood, leather – the list goes on.
I decided I’d wrangle 10 of my faves for you and showcase them in this post, because I truly believe that the little things in a space can completely transform it at times. And what better (and more affordable) way to inject some new life into your living room or dining table than with some new coasters?
The ones above are by local brand Copper & Co and they have tonnes of colours and patterns available. Sidenote: add some vodka and soda to those glasses above and I’m there!
Here are 9 other divine coaster favourites.
Top Row: SpinSpin Ceramic Porcelain Coasters | Set of 4 Roller Coasters
Bottom Row: Leather Hex coasters | Tasmanian Oak Cross Coasters
Of course, another one of my fave coaster designs is from the one and only Jonathan Adler. I’ve praised this decor genius on the blog before and absolutely love this irreverent designs.
The good thing about these coasters (and I suppose any of the ones in this post, actually) is that you could mount them on the wall with a 3M velcro hook and create a bit of an art display. I love the vibrant colours against the gold backdrop.
This Jackson Coaster set is from Opus Design Co; a Sydney store packed with colourful finds.
Top Row: Matt Black Square Coasters | Drinks are on Me Coasters
Bottom Row: Fruity Coasters | Hexagonal Marble Coasters
