Mokum’s new Paradiso Fabric Collection
A few weeks back I introduced you to these pieces of outdoor furniture. They featured fabrics so stunning that they’re actually better than most of the stuff I have inside my home (sad but true).
There must be something in the designer water, it seems, because there’s an equally stunning batch of new fabrics from Mokum. These beauties are suitable for application on indoor furniture or outside items, and boy are they striking.
Mokum have collaborated with Academy Award winning production and costume designer Catherine Martin on this new Paradiso collection. You’ll know her work in film the moment you see it. Catherine has designed costumes for such films as Moulin Rouge, The Great Gatsby and Romeo + Juliet, just to name a few.
But as a lover of all things interiors – and an openly proud fabric addict – it’s her work with Mokum on this Paradiso collection that I’m most wowed by.
Celebrating tropical colour and exuberance, the Paradiso collection is influenced by Catherine’s work on the recently opened Faena Hotel in Miami. It’s a tightly edited collection that perfectly blends tropical influences with an touch of Australian and French heritage.
The beauty of these designs, as mentioned above, is that they’re suitable for use inside and out. What makes them even better is that they’re all sunlight resistance, commercially durability and are easy to care for.
From a purely aesthetic perspective, I’m so drawn to the striking patterns and interplay of colours in this range. I’d give my right arm and possibly my left leg to apply some of these designer fabrics to my outdoor cushions. I’m a firm believer that you can go absolutely nuts when it comes to colour in an outdoor room, and these would most certainly help you to achieve that.
It’s wise to know that Mokum don’t sell direct to the public, so if you want to get your hands on these fabrics you need to go through a designer, stylist or decorator. Luckily, I know one! If you’re keen to find out more about the TLC Home Decorating Service, click here.

Which is your fave design from the Mokum Paradiso collection? I’d love to hear about it in the comments below.
I love the blue and green print with the flamengo so striking! Loving your new look site too looks fab 🙂
