Monochrome Moments in Typo’s Spring Homewares Range
You know I go cuckoo over colour – and Typo’s new pieces from The Hall range do feature a fair bit of it. But I was so won over by their black and white decor when I saw it in-person last week that I felt it needed a moment of its own, which is what this post is; let’s appreciate the best monochromatic morsels from The Hall’s new homewares collection!
A rustic table setting is all about texture, so creating the look above is as simple as nabbing a few of their Calico Cushions and scattering them about (they’re $24.95 each). The pattern is doing all the work for you here, and what a dynamic scene it’s creating. Because the colourway is so simplistic, you can go mad with pattern and mix and match as many styles as you please.
Adding a hessian table runner keeps the look earthy, plants and fairy lights (both available at Typo) add an element of warmth and that dreamy chopping board, which blends black and blonde timber to perfection, completes the picture; it’s perhaps my favourite piece from their new collection and really gives some wow-factor to the table top (it’s selling for $29.95).

They’re keeping the pattern as lively as ever in their collection of towels and umbrellas, too, which makes summer by the pool or on the beach a bit fashion-forward and with elements of surprise. What’s so good about the black and white colour palette is that you can introduce your own accent colour and make it the star of the setting. I love the oranges in the photo below; what a zesty hue to showcase as the weather gets warmer.
The double beach towel, as the name suggests, is big enough to fit two and retails for $49.95. It’s a nice little number to take on a picnic or to the kids sports games.
