Anna Carin is known as one of the forerunning design houses to have brought Scandinavian furniture into the Aussie market. Today on TLC, I’m showing you what happens when this iconic designer teams up local leader in flooring, Designer Rugs; gorgeous new collections for your home are born!
Taking inspiration from her childhood spent in the South of Sweden, Anna Carin McNamara has created a stunning new collection of hand-knotted floor coverings for Designer Rugs. This is her first time designing rugs and if these images are anything to go by she’s definitely got an eye for it. I think my fave has to be the one directly above, called Wild Berry, for its bold colour and hypnotic pattern.
Each design in the Forsa collection recounts a childhood moment for Anna, abstracted and renewed in divine wool and silk varieties. The clean and paired-back nature of these stunners is what most appeals to me, not to mention the fact that they’re made using traditional Nepalese hand-knotting techniques.
