So I’m obsessed with birds in the home.
Not actual birds, of course. Those things scare the life out of me (the sound of their wings flapping – eek!), but I am a fan of birds in ornamental form and in art.
I’ve banged on before about my adoration for bird ornaments (I became a bit obsessed with them at one point), and I’m pretty sure the love is about to be reignited thanks to the innovative art in today’s post, courtesy of the clever creatures at Signarture.
The gang at Signarture have been producing fab art since 2006 but I reckon the latest collection, Aviary, is where it’s at for the brand. The limited edition fine art prints are put onto perspex and feature an array of feathered friends from both the tropical and sub tropical families. Imagery like this was first put onto paper about 200 years ago and I love that the team has put a contemporary spin on it for modern homes.
Featuring the likes of parrots, cockatoos, toucans and more, the Aviary collection has a bit of a vintage feel to it, placing birds in the spotlight and celebrating their history.
The good news is that the artworks can be installed both inside and out, so you can bring the outdoors in or celebrate the feathered friends in your back garden. I like the versatility that’s at play in these pieces, too. Because of the multitude of colour options, you can select a style to work with your home’s current design. The art itself doesn’t fit just one style, which means it’s really easy to work with (and I always appreciate that in decor!).
