I’ve always been rather fond of the ‘choose your own adventure’ element of Nomi’s designs. An Aussie brand that’s changing the way consumers look at furniture, their website allows you to design your fave piece, have them handcraft it for you and then have it delivered to your door. Their most recent offering, the divine Chevron Shelf, is taking the country – and my mind – by storm! Let’s take a look at why it’s so divine!
As you can see here, the colour options are nothing short of stunning – and I’m torn as to whether the birch plywood is my fave or if a splash of teal could give my office space a welcome dose of colour.
I also love the ease of which you can stack these pieces, making them a really versatile solution for your office, living room, kids room and more. The first photo illustrates the pieces as they come, with assembly as simple as popping the pieces of precision milled birch ply together (no Allen keys required!).
Named so because of its interlocking zigzag pattern, the modular chevron shelving unit is the work of talented designer Henry Wilson, who has teamed up with Nomi on this exclusive collaboration.
“Everything about the Chevron Shelf reflects its construction method. It achieves maximum yield from the resources used in its production”, Henry says. “It’s exciting for me to see it within the NOMI range, where the full potential of its flexibility can realised. With NOMI’s colour customisation, it can be as loud or nuanced as you like”.
Available in ethereal greens, teals, olives and rose shades, the Chevron Shelf is definitely one to pop on the Christmas wish list (yes, it’s that time of year already).
The best part, of course, is the price tag; starting at just $150. Scoring a piece of designer furniture for next to nothing never felt so good.
