As you may well know, OZ Design’s new spring furniture pieces are split into four unique collections; Abode, Arthouse, Coast and their new offering – Global. Strap yourself in and prepare to swoon as I show you the best bits from the Global range. It’s superior craftsmanship meets divine design in this collection, with more wow moments than you can poke a tapered leg at!
This is a TLC Solution for OZ Design
The star of the OZ Design Global collection, which is all about the perfect merging of international styles, is the Henry sofa you see above. Fans of both fabric and leather are catered for here, because the Henry comes in both.
What’s so remarkable about Henry is that he helps to create a scene that feels uniquely global (hence the name of the range). There are definite Scandi influences at play here; the slimline, angular design of the sofa is to thank for that, with the room further enhanced by the interesting shapes of the Sling designer chair. How utterly dreamy are those arms?
All you have to do to make this look go global is add accessories that break away from the Scandi aesthetic. Consider woven, geometric rugs for a Moroccan feel, bring in curved, dark wood to take things in an African direction and introduce the Sari coffee table to keep the mood warm and modern. All in all, this look feels wonderfully resolved, don’t you think?

Colour lovers – I hear you asking where your swoon moment begins. Well, here it is! Fans of bold and bright interiors are well and truly catered for with the rich, blue-grey fabric of the Clover sofa. I love the cool colour of the Clover contrasted with the pops of red in those flowers. Spring is a great time to use deep red tones like scarlet, burgundy and even maroon if you’re looking to create a sophisticated setting. By bringing in light timbers, like in the Kote coffee table, you keep the look fresh and contemporary!
Below, the global and eclectic vibe is still in full force, but this look is a little more colourful. While the Gordon sofa is undeniably dapper and helps to keep the space grounded, the colourful pops and Moroccan pattern in the Quinn ottoman, teamed with bright flooring and zesty accessories, makes this room a lively and inviting one during the warmer months. Nothing says spring and summer like lemon and orange tones. And on that point, the glorious Tatler is Australian made and can be customised in hundreds of designs and fabrics!
Of course, an OZ Design furniture-fest is not complete without showcasing a beautiful armchair, and this season the Lara armchair is my fave. The pattern is giving a nod to the Moroccan aesthetic – so prevalent in the Global collection, but the dark wood tones in the legs makes this a sleek and sophisticated offering. I love the balance in this design. While it would be the perfect chair to sit in with your fave homewares mag, you could also use it as an office chair or pop it at your dining table to create some real visual interest! This lovely lady is also Australian made and can be completely customised and upholstered in hundreds of designer fabrics – divine!

The sling designer chair. I just bought an original from an op-shop that needs some TLC (exactly the same shape) but can anyone tell me who designed this piece originally? And what decade it’s likely to be from? It appears to be teak underneath the primer paint it was covered in.
