Pink and gold is a colour combination that’s been sprouting up a bit lately and coming into spring I think it’s a pairing that could just rock your world. With the addition of white, it’s a design menage a trois that screams soft, feminine luxe. Here are some homewares in this colour scheme that I’m currently going gaga over – that I’m pretty sure you might find a bit tantalising, too!
Above: This homewares collection from kikki.K marries pink, gold and white to perfection!
The important thing to note with this colour story is the type of pink used. It’s a soft, pastel pink and it’s a vital component in keeping the look gentle and somewhat subdued. The gold is the bling in this scheme; to counteract that, you have to let the pink be a soft whisper.
Both white and blonde timber will help bring this palette to life, giving it a somewhat Scandinavian vibe in places. Because the nature of these pieces are soft, play with shape to elevate the story and remember that a little whimsy goes a long way, too. A little girl’s room would bode well for this scheme – just ensure you let white be the dominant factor and steer clear of hot pinks altogether!
