Going Cray-Cray for new I Love Linen Bedding

I think bedding will soon replace cushions as my ultimate decor obsession, especially if releases like these ones from local brand I Love Linen are anything to go by (side note: I’m up to my eyeballs in cushions right now and I can’t stop buying them – help!). Oh well; there are worse things in life than updating my bedding on a weekly basis, right?

I’ve been a polka dot devotee for years now, so naturally I want to jump into the bed above and roll around endlessly, admiring those gorgeous spotty pillow cases. That said, the photographs up top (they’ve all been snapped by the talented Lauren Bamford), have me considering a more tropical aesthetic for spring and summer. It’s hard to knock back a watermelon pattern, let’s be honest!

The screen-printed pillow cases in this collection, sat against more subdued bedding, allows you to create balance in your setting and mix up the look as you please. It’s a basic design rule but it works; let the bold and quirky cases truly shine by surrounding them with flat colours in less vibrant hue.

The creative behind the I Love Linen brand, Lauren Roe, agrees with this style approach.

“I love all my bright cushions and pillow cases, but I always like to set them against good, classic bedding and pure linen,” she explains. “It’s about simplicity and modernity blended together”.

Pieces are available now in-store and online.
