Make a Style Statement with Grey Walls

I’ve always been a fan of grey, despite it being a bit of a paint colour underdog. People seem to splash their walls in bright whites and beiges, and if they decide to get daring with hue, they tend to move toward black. This post is all about implementing grey walls – and which decor colours to pair them with!

Grey is a wonderfully moody colour and teams well with an array of other hues. If you’re looking to warm up your space for winter, try teaming a grey wall with accent colours like bright oranges or soft yellows. In summer, move toward a cool lilac or go bold and dramatic with black and white accessories. The versatility of grey is what makes it so special!

The beauty of grey, also, is that there are so many varying shades that the entire mood in the room can be altered depending on which colour you opt for. The three shades below (from Haymes) demonstrate this perfectly.

Notice the purple tones in the Black Knight, darker tones in Coal Mine and chalky white tones in Eclipse (my personal fave). Each one of these will have a different effect in the space, so it’s worth asking an expert in-store for help with this if you need some guidance.

I hope that’s given you a little inspiration to bring some grey into your home this winter. If nothing else, I need to get my hands on a felt chair (so obsessed with felt right now).
