A Look at My New Art Nouveau Prints

Art Nouveau Prints

In a creative finds post a month or so ago, I told you about my adventures on King Street in Newtown and the glorious art nouveau prints I scored from a street stall for just five bucks a pop. I finally put them up this at home week and they rather look glorious, if I do say so myself.

At the time I purchased the prints, I wasn’t sure what the type of art was called, I just knew I loved the look of them. Thanks to some of my Creatives on Facebook, I soon nailed down what style of art these were (thanks guys!). I’m really drawn to the French influence in these pieces and they seem to play nicely with the industrial colour-pop theme I have going on in my space.

I purchased the frames from The Reject Shop. I’m a firm believer in mixing and matching budget and higher-priced items in your home and always find it odd when people turn their noses up at this concept. In any event, I think they look rather marvellous in my hallway and can’t wait to get some more. What do you think?

They look great, Chris. Where did you get the frames?

    reply
    • Thanks Anthony – they’re from The Reject Shop. I am all for sourcing cheap wares if they look good 🙂

    They look great!
Being choosey and getting the “right” frames (regardless of where they’re from!!), is always the key to keeping quality prints looking fabulous once on the wall. I’ve often re-framed prints even though they’ve originally been bought already framed.

    • Hey Vanessa – I totally agree with you. I never shy away from telling people if I got something on the cheap. The price or place should never be an issue – as long as it looks fab 🙂

Hi, Im new to your site. I love all your ideas and the way you take budget friendly items and make them look amazing! Artwork can be so expensive, this is such a great idea. I have two map prints I want to mount. Any ideas?
