My Homewares Adventure in Lovely Lane Cove

Lane Cove homewares stores - bird ornament

I love nothing more than connecting with local Creatives, so I was beyond chuffed when In the Cove‘s Jacky Barker invited me for a tour of the most marvellous homewares stores Lane Cove has to offer. In the space of a few hours we managed to squeeze in many gasp-worthy moments across three great stores – each of which was uniquely different from the other!

It all started at Zjoosh, which is the perfect blend of fashion accessories and gorgeous items for the home. I can never get enough of an animal ornament (hello birds), so was rather delighted to see many of them scattered about the candles, cushions, jewellery, soaps and more. Zjoosh is about to expand their store and really ramp up their homewares offering, so I’ll keep my finger on the pulse and let you know about the developments.

Next up, we high-tailed it to the glorious One Village, which is nestled in Central Arcade. Its mission is to stock ethically produced products and let me tell you – there were plenty of them on offer. The gorgeous gals from One Village were screen printing when we came into the store, the result of which you can see below (festive tea towels – let me at them!). They also run numerous workshops and are the definite place to go if you admire social and environmental responsibility.

Last but most certainly not least, Jacky took me to the divine Stella Bella Home. You really can’t miss it if you’re driving past; there’s a bright pink trailer on the lawn there, which is soon to be used to serve high tea (champas please!). Inside the store, the wares feel very glam and French-inspired, with crockery, clocks, cushions and more on offer. I am going batty over the stone cologne bottle below; the stuff decor dreams are made of!

I must give a huge thank you to the darling Jacky Barker from In the Cove. Jacky had been very patient with me and was the perfect host for this adventure (someone make her mayor of Lane Cove already!). If you want to stay in the know with anything and everything that is happening in the area, hit the In the Cove Facebook page.
