Rhinos, Reindeers and More at Live This in Randwick

Live This Randwick Butterflies

OK, confession time: I’ve lived in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney for over five years and prior to last week I had not step foot inside Live This at The Spot in Randwick. I know, the shame! The good news though, is that now that I’ve discovered this local gem, it’s going to be a long summer of homewares purchasing (how much do I have to buy before the shame goes away?).

This store tour was particularly amazing because Live This strikes the perfect balance between calm neutrals and bold colour in its homewares offering. I’ve been in many boutique stores in my time and they tend to excel in one or the other. Live This is different, as you’ll see in the photos below, and do both to perfection.

On with the photo tour!

Above and below you’ll see the pineapple craze in full force in both zesty and relaxed colours. The shelves are practically brimming with not only on-trend pieces, but those that are yet to hit and those that are due for a comeback. That lampshade above was a clear standout for me because I love a geometric design and am also pretty smitten with anything yellow!

The other piece that I was going nuts over is the white ceramic horse you see further up in this post. Good Lord I want it and I need it. The dinosaur you see in the background of that photo is also particularly stunning. And the rhino head; God am I obsessed with rhinos at the moment!

Live This at The Spot in Randwick is a definite must-see. Lovers of fashion and accessories will be pleased to know that they also stock all of that, and have a gorgeous little change room out back – decked out in a whimsical tropicana theme with awesome Acapulco chairs. If you’re a local, heed my warning: you don’t wanna wait five years to scope this place out!
