Store Tour: Inside the Vintage World of Collectika
I tell you, moving to the inner west of Sydney has unlocked so many glorious discoveries. This week’s adventures took me to an amazing vintage home decor store called Collectika, which features a breathtaking array of retro, vintage and contemporary furniture and homewares. It pretty much sums up my dream interior scheme; clean, quirky and with a generous nod to nostalgia.
It’s quite obvious that the team care about good design, because every piece feels unique, special and completely restored to its former glory. That’s their specialty, actually; restoring furniture to its original aesthetic condition. The proof is in the pudding, of course; just get a load of the photos in this post and how wonderful the vintage home decor pieces are. I’m going particularly batty for the armchair below – the pattern is amazing!
It’s not all about furniture, though. There’s also a vast array of books for lovers of design, as well as homewares and tableware – all with a distinct look and feel that gives a nod to the old-school vibe I love so much. The lamps are a particular standout, too (I go mad for a vintage shade).
Drop into the store if you’re in the area. It’s on Enmore Road and parking is readily available.
Hit the Collectika website if you want to check out more from this glorious vintage home decor destination.
