Chris Talks Bedroom Decorating in the New Inside Out
Bedroom decorating is all about creating a sanctuary we can relax in. But if you ask me, it needs a healthy dose of fun as well. I spoke to Inside Out mag in their latest May/June issue about my own bedroom – and the team showcased some stunning spaces too!

While I’m the first to admit that a bedroom shouldn’t be too visually chaotic, I don’t like this space to be a total snoozefest! In this month’s Inside Out mag I share my theory that a room should have a good mix of both calm and quirk.
The team at IO have come to the party, delivering eight dreamy bedrooms that range in scale from easy and breezy to arty and eye-catching. What’s more, the spread is packed with useful hints and tips on how to achieve a variety of looks for your own boudoir. Hit page 53 to take a look at the rooms and decide which one takes your fancy the most.
Other must-see moments in issue 112 include the gold embellished rug on page 13, the must have throws on page 24 and the mention of one of my fave stores, Hello Yellow, on page 34.
How do you approach bedroom decorating in your home? Are you a fan of colour or do you think this space is strictly subdued territory? I’d love to get your take on bedroom decorating in the comments below.
