I’ve been working with the team at Metricon for over a year now, hosting their regular Melbourne events in the Mount Waverley theatre, and filming decorating videos for their Youtube channel. If you’re yet to come along to one of their interactive styling sessions – hosted by yours truly – you’re simply not living!
Check out snaps from our recent Tile & Style affair with The Block’s Kayal & Kara and find out when the next event is below.
Last month TLC and Metricon were lucky enough to have The Block’s Kyal & Kara come along to give attendees the lowdown on all things tile trends for the year ahead. As ambassadors for Beaumont Tiles, K&K filled us in on what’s going to be big in bathrooms and kitchens in 2016.
By coming along to these Melbourne events, you not only get the chance to find out more about what’s going on in the world of design, but you get to meet Kyal and Kara too.
The best part of these sessions is the hands-on element though, where you enter Metricon’s Studio M to create a mood board for your space – guided by Metricon’s interior design team, Beaumont’s style experts, Kyal and Kara, and myself.
If you don’t know what Studio M is, I can only describe it as a design mecca; containing all of the inclusions that go into a Metricon home (paint chips, benchtops, tapware, baths, bricks, flooring – you name it). It is such an inspiring place to be in, and even more amazing when you’re putting a mood board together with a champers in hand! Because the creative juices always flow better when there’s bubbles, right?
“Attendees got to walk away with their completed mood boards, to use them as inspiration to decorate or restyle their rooms at home.”
If you choose to build a Metricon Home, Studio M is where you spend a good four or five hours picking out all of the inclusions for your new abode, guided by a Metricon interior designer who will help you make the right decisions. Sounds like my ultimate dream afternoon.
As you can see from the snaps in this post, the Kyal and Kara event was a raging success, and attendees got to walk away with their completed mood boards, to use them as inspiration to decorate or restyle their rooms at home.
There is a very exciting session coming up at Metricon’s Studio M, which I’ll fill you in on shortly. But in the meantime, click here to check out Metricon’s event page, and see the video below to check out the first event we hosted with Kyal and Kara late last year.
Melbourne events don’t get better than this, and what makes these Metricon Lookbook events so fun is that they’re always on a different topic or trend. The next one is going to be very delicious, so stay tuned 😉
