The final whole house reveal went down on House Rules last night and some of the spaces were truly magnificent. Not all of them were stunners, but on the whole I was pretty impressed. The teams transformed Karina and Brian's rundown WA abode into a sophisticated but casual dream home.
We all know my feelings on last week's House Rules reveal (don't we?), so the good news is that this week's transformations were a definite improvement. And I always say that people should get some props for upping their game, even if some of the spaces were not 100% wow.Let's analyse the rooms, shall we?
Sunday just gone, House Rules unveiled its NSW whole house reveal (you can see it here) and I have to say, I was really disappointed - both when the episode aired and when the styled photos hit my inbox. The feeling sat with me all week and led to me writing this post.I don't want to gripe, but I do want to be honest - from a design perspective - and say that I think the rooms in Steve and Tiana's house were probably the worst I've seen on a show in this genre. I was pretty baffled by the fact that nobody on the show pointed out how many design mistakes were made, too.
If you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all. That's a mantra I'm trying to live by lately. But it that were the case, this week's post on the NSW House Rules reveal would be a very quick read.Sadly, the rooms in Steve and Tiana's home left a lot to be desired. Now, I know that when it comes to interior design, if the client's happy, you've done your job. But this is a show about judging rooms from a design perspective and there were a lot of shortfalls.
