If you're a fan of a homewares Store Tour (guilty!), it'll please you to no end to discover that the gorgeous Adore Home Magazine is holding a shopping tour of the Northern Beaches on Saturday, October 19. With Nest Designs' Emma Blomfield at the helm as your official tour guide, you'll be taken to the best homewares stores Sydney has to offer - some of which will be giving exclusive discounts to you on the day!

The winning design from the course, would you believe, actually gets their rug produced by Designer Rugs! I sat down with the recent winner from the Cert IV course, Wahroonga mum Tina Murray-Walker, to discuss the design process, her time in the course and what doors have opened for her since winning.
When the team from Papaya invited me for an exclusive tour of their Mosman store last week, it's safe to say I was a little beside myself. I've been a longtime fan of the brand, always rather fond of their contemporary designs and use of raw materials. When I stepped into the interior of this North Sydney oasis, it was like being transported into another universe, where I lost my mind in the best way possible and am not certain I have it back yet.
If you love homewares like I do, you have a stack of magazines that you can't bare to part with. You might also have a distinct memory associated with a particular magazine; one that sticks with you, that unlocked something in you or potentially resulted in what I call a 'magazine moment'. I had mine with issue one of Real Living Magazine way back in 2005.
For so long, I've been eager to become more than just someone who was utterly obsessed with interior design. Recently, while flicking through my Real Living magazine, I came across an advert for iscd (international school of colour + design). I took the first step toward my dream of becoming a fully-fledged stylist and shot them an email.
