I don't quite know how to describe Parterre other than to say it's quite magical and enchanting. I've driven past it a few times and also been into the store on the odd occasion and am constantly blown away by how gloriously French-inspired their world is. Set over two levels with a majestic outdoor space, this Woollahra wonderland is a must-see for locals who love quality, old-world wares. And for those of you who aren't in Sydney, take a virtual tour here!
I’m not afraid to admit that I love French antiques. There is something so wonderfully character-filled about these old finds that just captures my interest. I love a piece with a sense of story too, so when I cast my eyes upon the Contemporary Collection of furniture available at The Country Trader in Waterloo, I had to get the swoon police on speed dial.
You know you're a home decor addict when your friends send you pictures of the inside of homewares stores, saying "you have to check out this place". That's exactly what happened with Opus Design Co; my friend Jess shot me a photo of the inside of the store via her iPhone and as soon as I got the chance I ran in there to take it all in. It's like a decorative rainbow exploded, in the most awe-inspiring way possible!
Some books are your coffee table books (you know - you look at the pictures but you've never read a word in there) and others are ones you deem a little more educational because they offer actual ideas to make your home amazing. This book by Holly Becker and Joanna Copestick is just that; a practical source of inspiration from some of the globe's top decorators!
