The Crafty Minx at Home - MirrorIt's no secret that I love to get my craft on, so this release from Kelly Doust, The Crafty Minx at Home, is right up my alley. Filled to the brim with upcycling ideas, furniture reinventions and enough projects to keep you going for months, it's undoubtably a crafters bestie!

The-Matt-Blatt-Replica furniture-Hans-Wegner-Wishbone-Chair-Walnut-Maple-Oak-PREMIUM

You know, I'd never really given much thought to whether or not replica furniture was ethical from a design perspective. As a boy on a budget in my early twenties, I'd nab the cheapest furniture I could find that made my home look nice, with no regard at all for its origin.

Violet Roses - Season ConceptsThe day I walked into Seasonal Concepts it wasn't even intentional. I was at a florist up the road and was told I simply HAD to check out this amazing store that housed giant taxidermy, flowers, homewares and vintage furniture. Say no more, I thought - I'm there!

Federation Buffet from Oz DesignI’ve made no secret of the fact that I’m smitten with Oz Design; I’ve featured their glorious homewares on the blog before. As Autumn hits, though, it’s all about the furniture. And the better news, dear Creatives: they’re celebrating 35 years in the industry by giving away a divine Chandon armchair!

French Ornate Interior - Country Home Ideas MagIt's no secret that I love colour. Sometimes, though, I can't help but be seduced by the subdued palette French interiors are know for. They're all contained in the new issue of Country Home Ideas magazine - and I can't get enough!

I tell you, moving to the inner west of Sydney has unlocked so many glorious discoveries. This week's adventures took me to an amazing vintage home decor store called Collectika, which features a breathtaking array of retro, vintage and contemporary furniture and homewares. It pretty much sums up my dream interior scheme; clean, quirky and with a generous nod to nostalgia.

There's no denying that paint is a necessity, but nothing transforms a space like a stunning strip of wallpaper can. With this interior design trend on the rise again, I thought it timely to showcase five wallpaper ideas that'll have you forgetting all about those paint sponging effects of feature walls' past!

Vintage Furniture and Homewares at Reclaim in NewtownI'm a huge fan of vintage decor. I love that a piece has lived a life and has a story to tell. I had been eyeing off Reclaim Newtown for some time for this very reason. Not only is it filled to the brim with homewares, fashion and stationery that I have seen nowhere else, but it also has the added bonus of being owned and operated by the glorious Monica Trapaga - jazz singer and Play School alumni! The store is a collection of her favourite things (and now some of mine, too!).
