I first discovered Sparkk cushions when I featured them in my shoot for Inside Out’s Search for a Stylist comp last month. Days after the styling took place, I couldn’t help but stare longingly out the window like they do in a daytime soap, thinking about the shapes and colours present in these stellar soft furnishings.
I put down my goblet of brandy and contacted this local team to discover more about their wondrous designs – and found out that they have an abundant collection you’re going to want to get a look in on!
When I asked one part of the team, Natasha Budinski, why Sparkk recently went from selling strictly to trade clients to offering their range to the public too, she admits it was for a few different reasons.
“It was time to offer everyone out there a chance to get a little Sparkk in their lives,” she tells me. “Honestly, I think it was mostly pressure from our very supportive friends and family wanting their own cushions that did it!”.
The business is three years old now and has made a name for itself as a go-to destination for cushions carrying bright and bold prints. Some popular ones include the Flamingo, Louis Petite, Great Shalimar and Natasha’s fave – the Baudinii Rizz (pictured below left).
“The Cockatoo really aligns with our all-Aussie setup and I love the splashes of purple and aegean. The cushion is a great talking point in my home”.
The job of whittling down the designs and choosing what to offer to customers is no easy feat, but Natasha tells me it all comes down to offering variety to their customers.
“Whether you are after blues, neutrals or brights, we think there is a cushion to suit every style, season and interior”.
Using the cushions in my own shoot really did sell me on how glorious they are. Natasha tells me that she loved seeing them in the Search for a Style comp because the Sparkk team are all about supporting emerging Aussie talent.
“To be a part of the Search for a Stylist shoot was a proud moment,” she says. “We love how TLC used Sparkk’s Flamingo and Harcourt cushions in your shoot”.

we are made for flamingos in this house, I have two cheeky little ones who entertain me every day. Would adore the flamingo cushion to adorn our couch!
Casso – Dash wins my heart. I’m trying to integrate a bit of pastel into our home at the moment as I am loving this trend and the bold geometric pattern is perfect
You can never under cushion in my books – I love the Great Shalimar – Steam cushion – loving palm prints at the moment – a touch of summer on a winters day
Oh. My. Goodness! I love most of the cushions! My favourites however are the entire range of Casso, the feather – carnivale, but my all time favourite is the Flamingo – original!
How to choose just one?? I love the flamingo and baudinii rizz, both would complement my great shalimar cushions so well!
The cushions are amazing but I’d have to go with the Casso – Dash… the pastel colours will match perfect with my new grey bedding and mint country road pillows. 🙂 xx
Soooooo hard to pick – but I’ll go with the Black Cockatoo print. Fingers crossed. 🙂
very hard choice to pick one – but if i have to i would say the casso carnival – as it is bright and funky and would seriously brighten up my dull and dreary loungeroom 🙂
Wow!! What an amazing range of cushions!! I love so many of them, it was soooo hard to choose just one! I would have to say V&A – Dusk because I have a soft spot for little birds.
Thanks for sharing – I’ve been wondering where you got the divine flamingo print! Just adore all the cushions – my favourites are the bird prints. My absolute favourite is the Herons in original.
