The approach for this home makeover was to lean into the country style that was already present in a few areas of the property, but to give it a contemporary facelift.
Working in conjunction with MCID, the floors were stained in a darker walnut tone, the walls painted in a fresh white, with updates of carpet and window treatments also carried out. All rooms were furnished with new furniture and decor that gave a nod to the country aesthetic, with some wallpaper also applied.
The clients were very trusting throughout, which made it easier to execute the design vision for the home. We did retain some of the existing elements (like dining and living room lighting, as well as smaller decorative ornaments), so the end result felt brand new but still reflective of them and their family.
