This is some major fake plant porn right here. Can you even bear it? 🤤 I put this together years ago for a shoot with @metriconhomes and it only further deepened my sick and inappropriate love for artificial greenery 🌿 And with two industrial shelves from @kmartaus it's a total bargain bonanza AND you can't kill it with your black thumbs. Tell me I'm not alone in this plastic fantastic obsession 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’ve been back out in the world again, which has been a saving grace for me right now. Seeing existing clients to wrap up projects, photographing spaces soon, and taking on a few new and exciting home makeovers. I feel a bit like my old self again (pre-covid me and pre-grief me). I’m so grateful that I love what I do. I’m not grateful for the Corona weight gain and the out of control hair but both can be changed so I still feel i’m winning 😇 I also feel most myself when things are busy, and I know my Dad would want me to get back in my groove again. I hope you’re in a good mental health space with Covid going on. You’re not alone! Xx 👏🏼

I want to thank each and every one of you who mess

I want to thank each and every one of you who messaged me after I shared the news that my Father passed away. I felt so conflicted about whether I should share my grief on a platform like this, but I felt like I needed to for some strange reason (I guess I didn't want to pretend that life was rosy when it wasn't). I'm so glad I did because I got tonnes and tonnes of lovely, supportive and encouraging words from you - and I'm so so grateful for them. As I mentioned in the stories over the weekend, I always throw myself into work during times like this as I find the creativity quilt healing. So here I am, on social media, easing back into it, alongside writing blog posts and working with design clients. A big thank you once again. You've put a smile on my dial in a time where I really need it. I guess I really felt the 'social' part of social media this week and for that I am very appreciative xx

Is it weird to miss a plant 😢 This is my old Figgy not long after I first got him. This week I passed Figgy onto one of our neighbours so he could have a new life. One he could thrive in. See, he started to die in my new apartment, and no matter where I put him he started going yellow and showed no signs of improvement 🍂 I felt someone with a greener thumb than me would bring him back to life and enjoy him more. But oddly, now, I miss the plant. Am I weird? Tell me this is normal. Otherwise it's quite clear isolation has sent me batty and I'm going to start talking to my cushions soon 🤪

OK guys, I need your help 👏🏼 I've mood boarded the vibe for my new apartment living room. But I am so so torn. Which do you prefer: green sofa and black pendant, or blue sofa and brass pendant? We're going for a moody masculine mid century meets modern look. I actually think they're both good, that's the issue lol. I think the blue is more luxey chic and the green is more moody masculine. Let me know what you think! I do this for clients so easily but in my own space I’m going bonkers 🤯

Today I turned 38 - eek 😳 I was looking back through old photos this afternoon, because what else is there to do in isolation than reminisce? And I found this youngin (me about 7 years ago) spotting himself featured in @reallivingmag talking about my study at @iscdeducation. It’s been quite a ride from then until now. A book, TV shows, a presenting career, design biz and a successful blog. I might not be able to go outside today but life is pretty good when you look at how far you’ve come 😊 It’s also pretty good when your partner makes you cheesecake from scratch 🎂🎂🎂🐷 Happy birthday month to all the fellow Taureans out there (we are the best starsign after all) 🍾

Excuse the giant TV on the wall (though this is a real life home) but I wanted to show you this concrete-look feature wall I designed for my Camberwell client. It came together really beautifully and takes the harshness away of the big black box (the wall was white to begin with, swipe across to see the before). I love everything about it and desperately want to do it in my new apartment. Are we into it? It’s @duluxaus concrete effect paint btw, the lighter option of the two greys available 🖤
