With winter just around the corner I thought it best that my May giveaway involved some cosy new bedding. And when it comes to on-trend quilt cover sets, you can’t beat my mates at Lorraine Lea.
Straight off the bat I should point out that the beautiful bedding I’m showing you today, which you can win at the end of this post, is just a taster. There are so many more on their website to check out, but I wanted to show you a few of my personal faves below.
What I love about the Lorraine Lea range is that it’s ever-evolving. Sure, they have their staple bedding sets that everyone loves, but then with each season there’s always a few fresh drops so you can update your bedscape throughout the year. And you know me: I’m a huge advocate of updating soft furnishings with the change of season.
And here’s the added bonus: the Lorraine Lea product range is always evolving too. Outside of bedding they stock cushions, throws, wall hangings, lighting, decor and so much more. So you really can do a major overhaul of your space or just treat yourself to a few smaller pieces here and there.
The Elayna Quilt Cover Set: Bedding Goals
OK, so let’s start with my favourite, I-want-every-colour quilt cover set of the lot: Elayna. Available in five soothing colours (the white is not shown here), this quilt cover set is made of the finest linen. You can see in the images above just how scrumply and cosy the different colours are. They all have such an inviting look and feel about them; perfect for cold winter nights.
The other thing I adore about Elayna is the versatility. There are sheet sets and Euro pillowcases available in this range too, and you can mix and match the different colours to create your own unique bedding look. Mix silver and grey to keep it soothing, or bring a little terracotta or olive into the mix. It certainly is a nice way to keep your bedroom looking interesting (if you always love to change it up like I do).
The luxe fabric in Elayna has been pre-washed and shrunk, so you can pop this beauty on your bed as soon as you get it. It softens with each wash too, so as it ages it just looks better and evokes a luxurious lived-in vibe.
You can see me working the Elayna bedding in silver and charcoal in the video below.
Channel Nature with Edmonton
As you would have seen in this paint colour post, green is trending hard right now. It brings with it such a sense of serenity, so if you want to channel relaxed vibes in your bedroom I’d give Edmonton a go.
Outside of trend-appeal, the other thing I love about this Lorraine Lea quilt cover set is that it’s super versatile. It would feel right at home in a tropical, bohemian or coastal bedroom; just look at how well it plays with organic materials like rattan and jute.
You’ll notice in the photo about that the team have styled Edmonton with a brass bedside table, which just illustrates how easy it is to work this luscious bedding in a luxe bedroom, or even a mid-Century one. Really, the options are endless.
I also adore the quilted geometric detail in this set. It just takes it to another level. Pair it with one of Lorraine Lea’s new Meridian throws and you’ve just created a magical green moment to dive into.
Keep it Chic with Austin
Open up my wardrobe and you’re likely to see a pretty big collection of black and grey clothing. What can I say, I live in Melbourne! If you find yourself in the same boat – always gravitating toward dark tones – then the Austin Quilt Cover Set is ideal.
The colour is the first thing we should address, because it’s a wonderful charcoal tone. The stonewash look gives it a really nice sense of depth. It’s not just a flat black bedding set, it has interest and intrigue.
Let’s talk texture now, because I always bang on and on about how important it is to have texture in a space, even if it’s subtle. The quilted stitch detail in the Austin set is genius because it creates a diamond pattern that elevates the entire scene. It also has a tactile quality to it. Don’t you just want to touch it?
I like that Austin can be kept moody by pairing it with concrete and industrial furniture. Or you could absolutely take it in a luxe feminine direction by pairing it with a Harper Throw.
Go Wild with Bahati
Though Elayna is still my fave Lorraine Lea quilt cover set, I have to admit that I gasped when I saw the Bahati bedding above land on their socials.
I’m not afraid to admit that I love me a bit of print. As I showcased in this post, animal print decor is huge right now. What I adore about Bahati is now only how on-trend she is, but what a new take it is on the classic animal pattern.
Given that warm red tones are also increasingly popular in interiors, this meshes both trends beautifully. And not only that, she’s reversible. You get dazzling print on one side, and a more structured rust, black and taupe check on the back.
You know what this double-sidedness does for the bedding? It makes it equal parts masculine and feminine. What more could you want? Actually, there is one more thing you could want: the matching Bahati cushion cover.
Florals for Winter: Yes Please!
There are those of you, I know, who want to pretend that winter isn’t coming. Personally I adore the cold, but I know I’m in the minority here. So if you want to channel an endless spring day, what better way to do it than with this Lorraine Lea quilt cover set; the glorious Clare!
The sunny mustard base in this set provides a bright backdrop for the detailed botanical pattern to play over. Earthy-toned flowers and varying green foliage dance across this invigorating set, which also has contrasting blue Euro pillows you can purchase, and a dazzling pink cushion you can also snap up.
This Lorraine Lea quilt cover set is definitely one that’ll act as the show stopper in your bedroom. Bedding is a great way to create a focal point in your bedroom, so let Clare take centre stage and tone down the other colours in the space.
