  1. What a transformation!!! Congratulations! So light and dreamy! The old scheme was verging on depressing! No wonder they cried!!!!!

    1. Thanks Julie. It’s such a gorgeous cottage, I’m glad I could bring the home up to the level it deserved and the homeowners loved.

  2. New to your blog Chris but I must say I’m loving your vibe! I can hear the passion in your voice when I read your words 🙂 I live in an actual beach house (white plantation shutters and all! – which I adore) and am struggling with the decor aesthetic – as in not making it too kitschy OTT beachy.. your work on this house has given me inspo! Thank you.

    1. Thanks Gina, glad to have a new reader! I have a huge back catalogue of blog posts and have done, try this search for Hamptons and see if anything else helps you.

  3. Hi Chris – this house is unrecognisable from what you started with Bravo- simply stunning!! Some great ideas and love Chalies artwork (we collect art so will definitely look fun to her)….do you have list of the other items like white hutch, mirrors, chairs , etc ?? and where to buy them from . Cheers Jenny

    1. Thanks Jenny! Some of the suppliers are listed in the post. I didn’t list some of the trade only ones, but here is a pretty exhaustive list of them all: Cafe Lighting & Living, Globewest, Brosa, Print Emporium, Urban Road, Warranbrooke, Lavender Hill, Temple & Webster, L&M Home, Adairs, Sparkk, Canvas and Sasson, Villa Maison, Albi, The Rug Collection, Molmic.

  4. This might be my favourite reveal of yours yet! Congratulations!
I do have to ask – what are the supplier details for the sofa and those fabulous bedside tables?

    1. Aw thankyou so much. The sofa is custom from Molmic and the bedsides Cafe Lighting & Living. Both trade-only sources I’m afraid.

  5. Ahhh reading this post has brought such a sense of calm and serenity to my day! How could these clients not be happy! Love it. Where are the bedside tables from? And the dining chairs please? They’re absolutely gorgeous…

  6. Oh Chris,
    What an amazing transformation!!!!
The detail with the criss cross on all the furniture from the beautiful mirrored console, the buffet, the side tables all marries in perfectly.
Even though this home isn’t large, you’ve proved that the Hamptons theme can be used anywhere.
May I ask if the skirting boards were changed to suit the style as well?
Thank you Chris for sharing this exciting project, you’ve given me ideas.
    Robyn

    1. Thankyou Robyn, I appreciate that. The skirting boards weren’t updated. It was a cottage with original or restored features that really suited the Hamptons style.

  7. I love this B&A, Chris. Thanks for sharing how significantly you have transformed it. I must admit, I saw the star fish cluster in store over the weekend and scoffed at them, joking with my partner about putting them in our beach house. But I am LOVING how you displayed them. I might have to head back to the shops. 😉

    1. haha love that you’re rethinking the starfish now Rebecca. Thanks for your kind words. It was quite a transformation and the clients love it, so I’m very happy!

    1. Thanks so much Nadia. Some great local Melbourne artists work here, which I’m very happy about. And then stunning pieces from Urban Road and The Print Emporium.

  8. Stunning Chris!!!! Miss Amara Rug per chance in the living area? Wallpaper in the master…..what wall paper?? Noticed the “CHOPPED CUSHIONS” you must be exhausted!! Looks absolutely fabulous ! Well done you…………..

    1. Thanks Margot. The rug is an absolute stunner from The Rug Collection. It was an investment but it really makes the room. And yes: chopping cushions is some intense cardio lol!
