Before I trained as an interior stylist, putting a room together at home that I could be proud of was a pretty overwhelming experience. Knowing what colours to combine, what textures to introduce and where to position all the furniture was all a little 'too hard basket', and often resulted in my rooms feeling completely confused.
I returned from my trip to Sydney a few weeks back with more than just warm and fuzzies over how great my old home city is. I also came back with a loot of craft and homewares goodies from Spotlight - who sponsored our Blogger brainstorm session on the Sunday afternoon - and who've really been upping the ante on the home decor front of late.
It's no secret that I love colour. Sometimes, though, I can't help but be seduced by the subdued palette French interiors are know for. The images in this post are so captivating that even the most diehard colour lovers would go weak at the knees over them. They're all contained in the new issue of Country Home Ideas magazine - and I can't get enough!
