  1. Thank you for such informative material about all the options. I’m wondering which option would be the most expensive among them?

  3. Great article and very useful. Finalising plans an ensuite reno with full size free standing bath in front of large pitcure window with ocean view and shower along side in wet room – ocean view from shower also. The view will be the design feature. Donโ€™t have close neighbours but still like privacy when showering entering bath Window treatment is a big consideration. Have Roman blinds elsewhere in house as allow full views from windows. Iโ€™m concerned that Roman blinds in ensuite would be unsuitable due to moisture. Iโ€™m considering shutters or venetians but view is interrupted by the slats. Love the look of sheer curtains behind the bath, but would block the view. Any suggestions. The latest trend seems to be sheer curtains everywhere.

  4. Hi Chris
I need to replace 2 bathroom windows. Currently I have allumimum venetians. They are being corroded by the moisture. I understand these are the worst type of window covering ever!
The windows are sliding type, at a corner ie 90 degrees to each other. Width about 150 cm.
I am thinking of installing roller blinds but they must be moisture and mildew resistant. I can’t seem to find any of them in the stores like Spotlight etc.
    Any advice would be appreciated.
    Regards
    Rose

    1. Hey Rose, lots of options should work in a bathroom. Vinyl shutters, rollers, cellular shades and others. It’s more about choosing a moisture/mildew resistant fabric and making sure the hardware can also stand up to the hardware. Try a window treatment retailer near you if you’re unsure about doing it yourself.
