Designer pet decor has been a long time coming, hasn’t it? As pet owners who take pride in our homes, it’s fair to say that we’ve been let down in the stylish pet accessories department time and time again.
All too often we’re asked to put up with crazy, colourful, over-the-top pet furniture, bedding and accessories. It’s literal, it’s cheap-looking, and it’s always thrown in a corner in the hopes we can camouflage it. But thankfully, times are changing!
In today’s post I want to expose you to some designer pet decor that’s so good you honestly wont feel the need to hide it away when guests come over. And won’t that be a novelty!?
Before we go any further I must link you to the amazing Benny Pet Cave from Mocka. I’m so obsessed with it I may just go out and get myself a puppy! Though my cats would love this too, let’s be honest.
Doggy Decor with Designer Appeal
Lavish Tails is an e-store that specialises in only the most chic designer pet decor and accessories. What I love about them is that the beds in particular look nothing like regular pet beds. The pieces are completely functional, of course, but they’ve been designed in a way that has them fit in seamlessly with your current decor at home. And not a paw print pattern in sight!
These guys only stock products that they believe to be eco-friendly and sustainable, and the range goes well beyond just beds for dogs and cats. As you can see above and below, they also stock designer dog carriers, bowls, leads, toys and a slew of other accessories.
I love the travel section in particular, which allows you to look super stylin’ when you take your dog for a walk. If you’re a crazy cat lady or man (read more on that here), I’m positive you’ll warm to this brand quite quickly.

Tip: Don’t get disheartened if your pet doesn’t take to new furniture or decor right away. Give them time to warm to their gift. Often the more your push it on them, the more they’ll resist.
Cute-as-a-Button Kitty Furniture
As a proud dad of two feisty felines (meet Emi and Mim here), I can attest to how many truly hideous cat beds and scratchers there are on the market right now.
Thankfully I discovered local brand D&C Lifestyle earlier in the year and I’ve not looked back. I got myself one of their luxury cat scratchers and a few of their pod beds. The result: my two kitties absolutely adore them.
What makes these products so good is that they’re sturdy and durable (cats can be rather destructive). But they also look stylish and don’t stand out as the one ugly thing in an otherwise glorious space.
You’ll notice I said above to give pets time to get accustomed to new furniture. It might not be like that with dogs, but it certainly can be with cats. I tried to force mine on the scratchers and beds when I first got them. They inturn put up a bit of a fight. The moment I ignored them, they took to the furniture and now use it daily.
D&C Lifestyle does loads of designer pet decor, furniture and accessories for both cats and dogs. If you want to see more of their vast range, Click here.
Lorraine Lea has Pet Decor Now too!
My mates over at Lorraine Lea have a gorgeous new section on their website dedicated to pet furniture. I am obsessed with the Sampson Teepee above. I can see both of my cats using it, especially my more timid cat Mim. It’s the perfect hiding spot to get away from it all and forget the world for a while. Come to think of it, maybe I can crawl in there for a while as well!

Budget Dog and Cat Beds from Kmart
I couldn’t help but include this gorgeous find I spotted at Kmart. It’s a Heated Pet Bed that has a removable cover you can clean. Kmart actually has a fair bit of budget pet furniture and decor you might want to take a look at. But I thought it best I link you to the heated option. Because honestly, what pet parent wouldn’t want their little fur baby to be kept warm at night?
I’d love to know where you get your chic designer pet decor from. Is there a store or site doing phenomenal things in this arena? Drop me a comment below and share.

Hi Chris, while on the topic of pets, what’s your advice regarding pet friendly furnishings? Even fabulous cat scratchers unfortunately don’t stop cats scratching up leather lounges and carpets, particularly indoor cats. Any ideas for cat friendly surfaces?
Hi Chris, thanks for sharing this awesome info.
This is another great website for dog beds: https://www.stellasaurus.com.au/
Handmade in Australia and the filling is made of used water bottles. Cheers, Fran
Thanks for sharing Fran. Always love to check out more places to kit out our furry little friends!
