In a scary turn of events, Daryl Braithwaite is one of the first names that comes to mind when I think of horses. If you’re too young to understand this reference, you really missed out on a crucial part of the 90s and I suggest you watch the video below to get better acquainted with Dazza B.
Thankfully, of late, amazing horse photography, horse prints and horse art have been sprouting up everywhere, and the imagery of these majestic creatures is replacing Mr Braithwaite in the forefront of my mind.
I thought it only fitting that I share with you some places you can get some of these stunning artworks from online, so you can deck out your home with some awesome animals.
Confession time; I’m actually a bit spooked by horses. I generally find it hard to be around any animal that has the ability to kill me if it so wishes. But let’s put my issues with real-life horses aside, because I absolutely adore them in art form and hope you feel the same way!

I love the moody blue tones in this artwork by Francesco Formisano. The brown colour story in that gorgeous horse mixes with the sky above it to create a somewhat masculine moment. Just imagine it in a living room or study with some dark leather sofas. Want it, need it, ASAP!

There is something quite haunting about the horse in this artwork by Julie Refer. It would make for a really strong moment in a space. I’m not sure I could cope with it in my bedroom but imagine it in a dining room, study or hall. I think it’d look stellar.

One of my fave local places for art, Urban Road, released this little number recently and I’ve been smitten with it ever since I saw it. I love the patterned effect in the horses main and I love the black and white colourway. A dreamy piece of art for the bedroom I reckon.

I introduced readers to PAMPA on the blog years ago (I swear I discover the amazing brands before the masses do), and I’ve been infatuated with them ever since. They actually have oodles upon oodles of horse photography on their website, so you’ll be hard pressed to pick a fave. I narrowed mine down to this one though. I love the colours.

I recently got put onto the Society 6 website by a friend and my lord is it like a Pinterest hole you’ll find hard to crawl out of. There are just SO many amazing artworks you can spread across canvas, mugs, cushions, phone covers – the list goes on! I love their horse prints and I love the wild, unbridled vibe in the image above.

I love Lila + Lola because they allow you to download their work for a small fee, print it, frame it and have it up on your wall today, if you fancy. They actually have a number of horse works up for grabs – along with other varieties too – and they hail from Bright, Victoria. What more could you want?

There’s only one thing better than horse art and that’s a piece that features a family of horses. There is something so beautiful and underplayed about the tones in the artwork above from Eye Poetry Photography. It would work in so well with a Scandi or coastal interior.

Now, you know I adore colour, so it probably comes as no surprise that I got a bit wowed by this artwork from Fine Art Centre. Add a feline into the photo and you have this crazy cat guy’s excitement levels in overdrive. But in all seriousness, though, this is a stellar piece and I love the whimsical sense of play here.
