Feature-wall your space with wallpaper

There’s no denying that paint is a necessity, but nothing transforms a space like a stunning strip of wallpaper can. With this interior design trend on the rise again, I thought it timely to showcase five wallpaper ideas that’ll have you forgetting all about those paint sponging effects of feature walls’ past!

Retro Wallpaper - Feature Wall Ideas from The Life Creative

1 RETRO | This Empire Weave wallpaper design is perhaps my favourite because I’m a sucker for a retro vibe. I love the blue and white hues at play here, too; it’s striking enough to be a real conversation piece but doesn’t take things too over the top. It also feels incredibly fresh and light, don’t you think? Stockist: Wallpaper Republic.

Damask Wallpaper - Feature Wall Ideas from The Life Creative

2 SOPHISTICATED | This Damask wallpaper screams master bedroom is you ask me. It’s chic and sophisticated and works beautifully to set a mood in the space. Ideally teamed with black and white furniture and shiny, metal finishes, this look is for lovers of a truly dramatic boudoir feel. It’s definitely on the more feminine side. Stockist: Wallpaper Republic.

Striped Wallpaper - Feature Wall Ideas from The Life Creative

3 CALMING | For a real sense of tranquility and relaxation (which is how a bedroom room should feel, if you ask me), you can’t beat this Tunturi wallparer in Sky. Not only does the monochromatic blue hue create a space that bodes well for rest, but the horizontal stripes will do wonders to make the space feel wider. Stockist: The Elephant Room.

Masculine Lodge Lattice Wallpaper - Feature Wall Ideas from The Life Creative

4 MASCULINE | Proving that a man cave can be just as beautiful as it is blokey, this Lodge Lattice design really grounds a space and works to make it feel moody and distinctly manly. Sure, you could add some delicate, ornate pieces to fem it up a bit, but I like playing to the strengths of this design; it’s all man. Stockist: Wallpaper Republic.

Playful Macaroon Masculine Wallpaper - Feature Wall Ideas from The Life Creative

5 PLAYFUL | I love the idea of inserting some whimsical wallpaper for a dining room or kids’ space, because I’ve always said that homes should have a decent amount of quirk in them. This Macaroons design it the perfect way to get it! From a distance, this wallpaper is delightfully colourful. Up close, it’s just all sorts of deliciousness and a definite standout. Stockist: Kemra Wallpapers.

I do love the calming one for that bedroom Charmaine – so relaxing (but the retro is my fave – I adore that kinda pattern!). 🙂
