It’s true, Creatives – my lifelong dream of writing a book has finally come to fruition! I’ve signed on to author a book with one of the countries top publishers and I couldn’t be more excited. It really was one of the goals I put on my ‘dreams’ list when I started TLC Interiors and it’s come true in just two years of blogging. As a trained writer and stylist, this release will be the culmination of my skills and passions – and I couldn’t be happier to be working on it this year!
The book will act as a both a guide for tourists and locals – on the best places to eat, drink, shop and play in Sydney. I begin working on it any day now, but I don’t want to miss out on including any venues. This is where you come into it, if you’ll be so kind. It would be fab if you’d tell me the places the city of Sydney has to offer that you’re in love with – both the big venues and the smaller, undiscovered bars, restaurants and stores that need a shoutout and some lovin’ in the pages of my book.
I have my own ideas – especially in the areas I frequent – but if you know of any places that are untapped, or where the cool kids go, I’d love to know about it. The venues need to be within a 30km radius of Sydney – that’s the only restriction. So reach out to your local haunts and spread the word. Let’s support local, right?! It couldn’t hurt if they’d have me for a meal and drink, too, so I can get an idea of the place, it’s vibe and to take some photos of the space!
Drop me a comment below if you have ideas or shoot me an email: tlcinteriors@gmail.com
Please note that I can’t reply to all suggestions or see all venues. No personal credit is given for any suggestions you make that find their way into the book 🙂
I’m on the lower North Shore and live Piato in Blues Point Rd, McMahons Point. Great coffee, lunch or dinner authentic true food made with love
Oh thanks Wendi – I will definitely have to check them out 🙂
I’m not from Sydney but I go there quite regularly, and my fave shop is made590 in Newtown, HolyKitsch in Surry Hills and my favourite cafes are Art & Me & Gnome in Surry Hills.
Thanks so much for your ideas Wita. I’m going to have to check them out 🙂
Paper 2 Surry Hills – amazing for quirky stationery and a regular celebrity haunt – Carey Mulligan and Toby McGuire have been spotted browsing the store while shooting films in Sydney
Ooh yes Amy – I’ve been in Paper2 before and they are divine! Hopefully I bump into a celeb while I’m there 😉 Thanks for the suggestion!
