  1. Personally I think the whole block series is very “blah” this year. No one has taken a huge risk in any room and they personally all look very similar. (Maybe in person that’s dufferent). I know it’s in fashion but I’m also over all the throw rugs, to me they always look untidy as if someone has just sat on the made bed, which happens to be my pet hate.
The terraces are just weird, I can understand the pentys having one as they are on the top but I wouldn’t call H & C a terrace, to me that’s just a very weird space.
The fire place on the girls terrace looks nice but is impractical as it’s so tiny no one can really stand around it so the cost that involved to me is pointless.
I know everyone keeps saying but look at the view, you really seem to have to strain your necks to see it, it’s not an in your face stand out view. But I’m not an interior decorator so my tastes prob wouldn’t be any better than the contestants.

  2. No not surprised they didn’t install a spa. Last year the contestants that did got absolutely roasted by the judges. I’m sorry peeps but I’m a fan of the all white sterile look. It is very easy to live in and creates a relaxed vibe that never dates! However I get that it’s a design show and everyone was waiting for some wow moments that just never showed up. My vote this week goes to Sara and Hayden, how pumped would you be to have that terrace to show pony to your mates or better still THE FAMILY

  3. I loved Terrace week, the drama, judging, the actual Terraces. I liked Norm and Jess’s terrace the best and I don’t agree with the hot tub suggestion. Hot tubs are a bit fiddly and need the water recycled relatively often, difficult to do in a Penthouse. The water bowl is nice for white noise and just needs fish. A well-deserved win. Brice and Courtney should have chosen to do a study, a type of greenhouse retreat space or something out there…. at least a multiple use space. As it is its a bit nothing really. Yes and I hate the white walls too. Hayden and Sara, I admit it was lovely but I have trouble getting over her whinging to feel really positive about it although I like the distinct zones. The Girls did a great job but like you, I wondered about the lack of space by the BBQ and was disappointed the roofing didn’t extend further into the terrace area. I’m quietly barracking for Kerrie and Spence and they just run out of funds.. I suspect that the new buyer will buy the BBQ and buy more expensive furniture, other than that, it was great.

  4. The ‘inside terrace’ of H&C is a peculiar thing. I don’t see the point, except to enable everyone in the competition to have a terrace to complete. It is especially just another room. I was hoping they would not try to make it ‘let’s pretend it’s outside’ and take a risk! Since they would be unlikely to win terrace week, make it a point of difference and make it a sexy entertainment space instead – embracing it perhaps with an iconic wallpaper al la Beverly Hills hotel. As it is, their apartment as a whole just feels odd with what I surmise in practice to be a lot of wasted space which will unfortunately be reflected in the number of bidders and the ultimate sale price.
