I had the pleasure of handling the best Easter decorations in Australia a few weeks back. It was for a shoot I styled in preparation for next week’s very exciting Easter masterclass at Metricon.
I’m going to be hosting the event and showing you how to rock an awesome Easter tabletop. The added bonus: baker extraordinaire and author Katherine Sabbath will be joining me to show you how to whip up an amazing Easter-themed cake. It’s going to be all sorts of amazing and I can’t wait to get decorating.
If you want to book your free ticket, you can do so here.
And don’t worry if you’re not in Melbourne. We’ll be doing a sneak peek live cross during the event via Metricon’s Facebook page, so stay tuned.
Anyway, table styling on the day of the shoot got me thinking; I don’t think we decorate enough at Easter time, especially in Australia. There are so many stores doing amazing Easter tableware and decorative pieces, but we aren’t purchasing and styling as much as we should be.
I’m on a mission to change all that, and I hope today’s post gets you inspired. So lemme show you what I believe are the best places to buy Easter decorations in Australia.
1. Bed Bath N Table Easter Decorations
I used Bed Bath N Table products on the day of my Metricon shoot and the products were nothing short of amazing. I borrowed a whole lot of goodies from the team and had an absolute ball styling them up.
BBNT are your go-to if you’re looking for exquisite tableware that’s going to last years. It’s not where you go for disposable Easter kit. I’m talking Easter decorations that’ll become keepsakes for generations to come. The sort of stuff you’ll treasure for decades and pass onto your kids.
On offer are plates and mugs, cake stands, vases, snow globes, cutlery, silver and gold bunnies and eggs and so much more.

2. Target Easter Decorations
Target are emerging as a front runner in festive style, and this Easter they’ve really kicked things up a notch.
The pieces in their Easter range are colourful; gorgeous pink and teal hues play with pops of gold and the occasional lavender moment. They’re the sort of pieces that are super affordable and easy enough to work in with your existing dinnerware if you were putting a table setting together.
My top pick from the rang is the adorable bunny light you see top-left. At just $8 you could get a few and feature them all over the house.

3. Kmart Easter Decorations
I couldn’t do a feature on Easter decorations in Australia and not include Kmart, right? What I’m loving about Kmart this Easter season is that they’ve become a bit of a one-stop shop for all things party.
The wreath above is a good way to kick off your first impression on the front door, but beyond that they have loads of decorative bits and pieces. From egg fairy lights to Easter plates, crackers to gift bags and everything in between, these guys have you covered.
They even stock an artificial grass table runner you can run down the centre of your table setting. Awesome if you’re going for a woodlands theme.

4. Adairs Easter Decorations
Adairs have gone in a subdued, high-end direction this year with their Easter decorations. It’s not the bright, childlike stuff you’d be used to seeing in stores in previous years.
This time around they’ve kept things quite restrained and carefully considered, but as with the Bed Bath N Table stock, it does feel quite precious and keepsake-ready.
I love the somewhat left-of-field chook mugs you see above. There’s an accompanying plate in this design too which is super cute. It all feels rather non-traditional and I gotta say, I’m smitten.

5. Cotton On Kids Easter Fashion
OK, so I know this was supposed to be all about the best places for easter decorating in Australia. But I came across all of this adorable Easter fashion for kids and thought, I have to show you this!
If you have a little one, I insist you dress them up in these pieces whether they like it or not. Be they boy or girl, three years old or over 15, it doesn’t matter. Use every ounce of bribery you have available to you and deck them out in a hoodie, at the very least!
I love adorable kids clothing like this. It makes me insanely clucky. The grey bunny jumper in the bottom-right square above is the standout for me. If they had it in male adult size, I would totally wear it.

I was disappointed that neither Kmart or Coles at a big shopping Center recently, had Easter Bilbies. Those are still really endangered in Australia, and so cute! Years ago you could buy them and support saving a species. I understand they are still made. Perhaps you could suggest it to Kmart etc as you seem to have a good relationship with them?
That’s a shame Antony! I wonder why they decided to phase out the Bilby. Might have to look into that. Hope you have a great Easter!
