  2. I am OBSESSED! thank you for this post, it is so helpful how you put it all into words and provided suggestions/recommendations. I am about to start a renovation on a small condo that gets minimal natural light where the living room and kitchen have an open concept but there is only one window for the whole room. I am really hoping to achieve this California Cool concept that I love so much… do you think it will be possible in my situation? Any tips for working without all the good lighting like these spaces have?

    1. Thank you so much Jessica! Do you have the budget to install a skylight? It can be more affordable than you think (at least here in Australia, not sure of the costs where you are). I organised one for a client recently and it is costing less than $2,000. Always worth looking at options to bring in natural light before you start looking for work arounds.
