I was speaking to someone the other day who declared that concrete homewares were on the way out. Internally, I went through a series of emotions (almost like the 12 stages of grief). I felt angry, sad, shocked, dismayed and of course, it ended in denial. In fact, I’m so far in denial that I’m going to outrightly declare that concrete homewares are still 100% on trend – and with no signs of going away.
Sure, they’re everywhere. Sure, there’s a lot of them that look a bit same-same. But on the whole, I think concrete is an amazing material and I continue to see it used in interesting and innovative ways.
At Life Instyle last week, Zakkia Homewares (image above courtesy of them), were totally on board and were displaying an amazing range of decor all made from concrete. I even went so far as to find 9 more images from amazing brands that you’ll fall head over heels for – stockist info included below, of course!
