I’m a little bit addicted to faux fur throws. I have one on my sofa all-year round. I know; even in summer. There’s just something so lush and lovely about the textural vibes that fur brings to a space.
I’ve been styling lots of faux fur cushions over the last year as well, and I’ve become hooked on those too. So in the interest of sharing the love, I thought it best I unveil my fave brands to get fur from.
It’s wise to point out, of course, that there’s real fur and faux fur on offer here. And I’m very aware that real fur always raises a few moral issues for people. Rest assured though, the real fur I’m going to show you today is sourced ethically. I do want to make that clear before we delve further.
And on that note, lemme show you the best places to get real and faux fur throws, cushions and other products from locally. Bring on the cosiness!
Faux Fur from Lorraine Lea is my Fave
When it comes to faux fur throws, cushions and rugs, you can’t go past local brand Lorraine Lea.
I’ve been working with their fur-covered soft furnishings the past few years as part of my style partnership with them. And let me assure you, they’re all truly glorious.
What’s so divine about their faux fur products is the colour range on offer. Of course, there’s the neutral tones. Gorgeous brown and grey shades that evoke a sense of softness and sumptuousness (as seen above).
But then you also have the faux fur in bolder tones like prune, indigo, mint and blush. A little something for everyone, and options for colour lovers and fans of muted spaces.
You can Mix & Match the Colours too
One of my fave things to do is mix and match Lorraine Lea’s faux fur throws and cushions together against a neutral backdrop, as seen in this recent post. It makes for a really bold colour statement in an otherwise subdued space. And there’s nothing I love more than a pop of colour.
Seen directly above is their beautiful Harper faux fur throw in blush. You can explore all the colours in the collection here.
You can also check out the brown-toned faux fur Calabrese range here, and the moody grey and black Chinchilla range here. Prices in the faux fur range start from $29. Super affordable!
