There’s something about Scandinavian style art that’s captivated me for years. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not against colour by any means. But you can’t argue how wonderfully moody and majestic Scandi art is.
Whether it’s of an eerie landscape (my personal fave) or of animals, the result is the same; it brings such a sense of drama to your home. And no matter what room you put the art in, it’s going to be a talking point.
In today’s post I wanted to show you just what I mean when I say how captivating Scandinavian style art is. And not only that, but you’ll have the to chance to win a wintery, Nordic print of your own.
It’s all thanks to one of my fave art brands, The Print Emporium. And trust me when I say that these guys do moody art like nobody else!
The Print Emporium is Where It’s At
There aint nowhere else you need to go to buy Scandinavian style art. The Print Emporium has such a whopping range in the ‘Scandinavian Winter’ section of their online store. You’ll get lost for hours trying to pick your fave artwork from the collection.
From snow owls to winter elks, frosty forests to snow foxes (and so much more), there are prints galore in the range. And what makes The Print Emporium so good is that the artworks can be paired up with ease. By breaking the website up into sections based on the genre of art available, they make it easy for you to pick a few and know they’ll work together on your wall.
The variety of sizes is another bonus, because it makes creating a gallery wall at home really easy. You can choose to grab one statement piece in a 75 x 100cm, for example, and then get some smaller A2 or A3 sized pieces to support the hero. So simple, right?
Versatile Artworks and a Huge Range
As you’ll see from all of the imagery in this post, the pieces are also incredibly versatile. Because the colour palette is quite black-white-grey, it means the artworks can be easily moved into just about any space.
Coloured artworks can often be trickier to work into an existing interior design scheme. But when the palette is so monochromatic, it makes them work in a room with no stress or worry.
The detail in these artworks gives them quite a chic sensibility too. The striking aesthetic comes thanks to founder Zoe Bristow’s background in fashion and textile design. Having worked in both Australia and the UK, Zoe has infused international flavour into the pieces, which go well beyond the Nordic vibes you see here.
The range from The Print Emporium also includes tropical/coastal artworks, florals and botanicals, as well as tribal art and hand-painted designs. I hate them term ‘something for everyone’ but it really does apply here. There are so many genres on offer.
The Devil is in the Detail
What’s so impressive about art from The Print Emporium is that the core of it has been originally hand-painted in oil or acrylic paints.
After hand painting, the designs the artists have created are then digitised. Using superior reproduction techniques, they’re printed as either a stretched canvas, or as a giclée art print. What makes this process so special is that the detail of the original brush strokes is still clearly visible. So it does feel as though you have the original painting in your home!
If you’re loving the Scandinavian style art in this post, you’re in luck. Zoe has been kind enough to give two away to some lucky TLC readers. Scroll further down to enter to win.

Vintage blooms! I’m obsessed with anything involving flowers, considering they die so quickly I wouldn’t mind having a print that involves flowers so I always have some beauty in my house
Absolutely it would be Frosty Forest !!! As winter sets in who wouldn’t want to feel like they where in the Forest , rather than boring old Melbourne ..
George the Black Cockatoo (white). He reminds me of the ones who visit our trees.
Oh my ❤❤❤ I love so many, Snow Fox – what an amazing moment to capture so beautifully! Cloudscape – I think we all love to escape into the clouds at times (especially during work meetings), and Horizon – still, serene, and instantly blissful.
The snow fox….love the action shot. Incredible that has been captured!! Would look amazing in my nearly teenagr sons new room as he loves incredibly strong wild animals. Beautiful work!! Justine
Misty Forest would look amazing up on our wall. I love the iceberg and mountain prints too! All stunning.
They are all so beautiful but I’ll choose the frosty forest because of the mystery it brings and if you can see how bare the walls on my house are, you’d know why i need one of these prints.
All the art work is amazing with attention to detail. My favourite is the snow fox, as they are cunning, mischievous and playful.
So many gorgeous pieces but my absolute favorite would be Marfa Art Print – that pale pink with the black and white is just perfection!
Oh I’m going to have to go with the crowd here and say Milly the Umbrella Cockatoo! I tried to be different but this really is a gorgeous print. I love the blue background and I have the perfect frame already waiting for her on my dining room wall. Currently the frame is home to an old poster of colourful trees from Ikea and in desperate need of a new tenant; Milly would be given a permanent home! She’ll be amongst great company of other pretty birds on a small picture gallery which would gladly welcome her to the flock!
