  1. Hi Chris,
I’m hoping you can help! I have the Griffin table from pottery barn and am having the hardest time finding chairs. The table is a heavier looking 86″ long table with with reclaimed walnut colored wood and black welded wrought-iron legs. Would cream upholstered chairs work? Should the legs be black to match the table legs or walnut to match the table? If black, should the legs be metal or can they be black wood? Would love some different chair options.
    Thank you!

  2. Hi Chris, I have a modern glass table with silver legs and need to replace the chairs because they are in bad shape – chairs are modern sleek black synthetic leather and silver legs. Light hardwood floor and white walls. Ready for a change. Thank you.

  3. Hi Chris,
Thank you for this article. I would love your opinion on chairs for my new table. It is a beautiful 1 piece slab of oak with its natural curve, split and knots! It is a statement piece. I had it placed on a vintage sewing machine base. I love it., but I’m stuck on the chairs. I want the chairs to be comfortable but to not overpower the table.
    Any recommendations?
