I’ve just caught word that The Block Glasshouse is open for inspection this upcoming weekend, September 20 and 21, giving you the chance to get up close and personal not only with the contestants on the show, but the rooms they’ve created as well!
Scott Cam and Shelley Craft will be hosting the event, which is open to the public between 10am and 2pm both days. Site Forman Keith will also be on deck to meet and greet you, with all teams present to see you through the progress they’ve made so far; that’s Michael, Carlene, Chris, Jenna, Karstan, Maxine, Shannon, Simon, Darren and Deanne!
As the show’s fourth judge (couch-bound and unpaid), I’m considering getting the red eye down there to give the rooms a going over myself. They could do with a stylist on deck after all, right? If some of the bedrooms are anything to go by, they could certainly benefit from some layering (you can read my bedroom reveal critique here if you fancy). And on that note, someone needs to speak to Shannon and Simon about positioning that stovetop in front of the window.

If you’re in Melbourne, you’ve probably got the upper hand to get a look-in on the current progress of the glasshouse, but interstate viewers could make a weekend of it and hit some stores in neighbouring suburbs for a spot of shopping (I adore Fitzroy’s homewares stores!).
