  1. Quite clearly everyone seems to be of the same opinion, the results were a bit of a shock this week. I wouldnโ€™t want to take anything away from the contestants, they do their best under a lot of pressure and mostly do a great job. Luke and Jasmines room was quite beautiful in design and will appeal to a high end buyers market, I loved it. Your comments were so on the mark Chris, I really had an issue with the wallpaper and bed head clashing in the winning room, but thought I must be wrong after the scores were revealed.

  2. I seriously think they are all horrible.
I especially hate the sky lights in the bedrooms.
None of the rooms work and they are not historically appropriate.
Houses of these eras had colour and design, wooden furniture and colourful lush curtains.
    These are all haphazard.
Get rid of the ridiculous white walls.
    Nasty with a capital N

  3. Luke and Jasmine should have come first, soft colours and beautiful period features win my vote.
I didnโ€™t like any of the others very much although Jimmy and Tamโ€™s was ok, I personally dislike yellow! Especially in the bedroom! and blond brick noooo!

  4. I actually didn’t like any of them.Harry and Tash’s bedhead and wallpaper together did not work and that beautiful coloured bedhead in Sarah and George’s room does not go with the wallpaper at all.Very disappointing all round ๐Ÿ™

  5. You are absolutely right Chris about EVERYTHING you said!! Luke and Jasmin’s master shows real talent. Love EVERYTHING about it.

  6. Luke and Jasmine should have won
I also wonder if they receive any advice re: styling, decor etc.
These house’s are in Brighton, which is known for its beautiful heritage homes, and multi million dollar prices.
The gaudiness of some of the bedrooms certainly isn’t a peaceful retreat style to wake up in.
Luke and Jasmine’s did have a restful look, very up market, and why lose points because of the size of the bed?
It was peaceful with a tranquil appeal with the inclusion of the wall mouldings, the wall sconces it’s inviting, and the bay window was a great addition.
Where are the contestants getting ideas from, why the bright wallpaper and over the top bright beds from?????
Considering that Jimmy and Tam have won everything, the master bedroom needs to be completely re-done.

  7. I look forward to your Block comments every week. Glad to know I am not the only person who is shocked and continually saying to myself ” what were they thinking”!
I am continually amazed when block contestants who have never renovated a house think they know better than an architect and change the plans. Jimmy and Tam’s decision to switch the ensuite and walk-in robe is just madness and will turn off so many buyers – I don’t know anyone that would prefer a poky walk in robe – let alone having it blocked off by the ensuite – pure idiocy. Daniel and Jade’s bedroom was divine though and they should have won.

  8. I felt all the master bedrooms were tiny (only H & T’s was the right size)…if I’m buying a multi million dollar home, I won’t a BIG master bedroom! Somewhere to escape to and relax , I’d expect a seating area and not just a token one chair in the corner to fill a space. I have a thing for fireplaces in bedrooms……I HATE them!! It’s a safety thing for me. I love a calm restful space..so the only one that scored for me was L & J’s but it needed to be bigger!!! They’ve got these massive (well it appears to be) extensions out the back and a pokey master at the front…doesn’t fit right with me. To me I’d have guest bedrooms/bathroom and study and maybe a lounge for guests at the front of the house and at the back massive master and kids bedrooms. That’s just me. Space to me sells! As everyone wants space…especially if you have children and children are staying at home longer these days, so those little children will become bigger children.

  9. I’d like to know who’s advising these people on styling. Imagine trying to have a good night’s sleep in rooms that are overpowering with colour. Bedrooms should be soothing with a calm elegance about them. There were parts of each that I liked but generally they all missed the mark. If I was to give a win to anyone it would be the 1930s Jade & Daniels

  10. Given the size of the house (those extensions to the rear look huge) and the luxury market it’s looking to appeal to, the masters (except H&T) seem small. L&J had the best room IMO.
